विश्वविद्यालय की स्थापना 2018 में हरियाणा निजी विश्वविद्यालय अधिनियम 2017 के माध्यम से अक्टूबर 2017 में विधेयक के पारित होने के बाद की गई थी।

The university was established in 2018 through The Haryana Private Universities Act 2017 following the passing of the Bill in October 2017.

विश्वविद्यालय हरियाणा निजी विश्वविद्यालय अधिनियम, 2006 द्वारा यूजीसी अधिनियम की धारा 2 (एफ) और 22 (आई) के तहत डिग्री प्रदान करने के अधिकार के साथ स्थापित किया गया है। WUD की सभी डिग्रियां UGC द्वारा अनुमोदित हैं।

The university is established by the Haryana Private Universities Act, 2006 with the right to confer degrees under Section 2(f) and 22(I) of the UGC Act. All degrees of WUD are UGC approved.
