It has nothing to do with the dog's beauty.

Blue Lacys were created in Texas in the 1800s to herd flocks, hunt, and assist with farm chores. These dogs are strong, versatile, and quick learners, but their high speed and activity level make them unsuitable for apartment living or less experienced owners. Dogs of this breed can be loyal, protective, and capable family members who are confident, reliant on positive reinforcement, and willing to be happy with rigorous training.
