Established in February 1986, HGS (India) Limited manufactures geophones, geophone strings, seismic cables, connectors, and other equipment used for seismic data acquisition and geophysical operations. Formed through a technical and financial collaboration with the US-based GeoSource Inc., the company operates under the "HG" brand. Its products are utilized in oil and gas exploration, mineral exploration, defense research, seismic monitoring, vibration analysis, and other geosciences-related fields. The company also produces cables and connectors for resistivity meters and radar equipment.

HGS (India) has developed in-house manufacturing capabilities, including cable extrusion lines and injection molding machines, which enable the production of critical components and ensure superior quality control. Its manufacturing facility is located in Manesar, Haryana, and is equipped with capabilities for precision assembly, coil winding, magnetizing, and testing. The company is ISO-certified, holds ZED Gold certification, and is recognized by the Noida Special Economic Zone as a 100% export-oriented unit.
