The American Eskimo Dog comes in three sizes: regular, miniature and toy, its height at the shoulders ranges from 19 inches to 9 inches. A dense, gleaming white coat with a lion-like ruff on the chest and shoulders, a smiling face with a black nose, lips and eye rims that give a sharp, intelligent look, and a plumed tail draped over the back are features. Some Eskies have markings that are described as 'biscuit cream'. They walk with confident and nimble steps.
