The Alaskan Malamute is a large dog originally bred for strength and durability and was used as a sled dog or heavy load hunting dog. They are similar to other Arctic, husky and pointed breeds such as the Greenland Dog, Canadian Eskimo Dog, Siberian Husky and Samoyed. These dogs are known for excellent hunting skills and were used to hunt large predators such as bears. They helped owners find seals by alerting seal owners to the blowhole. The interdependence between the mahlemute and the dogs promoted the prosperity of both, allowing them to thrive in the uninhabited lands above the Arctic Circle.

अलास्का मालाम्यूट की आँखें बादाम के आकार होती हैं और भूरे रंग के विभिन्न रंगों में हैं। गहरी आँखें पसंद की जाती हैं। शुद्ध नस्ल के अलास्का मालाम्यूट की आँखें नीली नहीं हैं। मालाम्यूट का शरीर सुगठित और टिकाऊ होता है, जिसमें सामग्री, हड्डियाँ और स्नोशू पैर होते हैं।

The eyes of the Alaskan Malamute are almond shaped and come in various shades of brown. Dark eyes are preferred. Purebred Alaskan Malamutes do not have blue eyes. The Malamute's body is compact and durable, with firm bones and snowshoe feet.
