नेपाल का एक अद्भुत पर्व है, जिसे कुकुर तिहार करते हैं, इस पर्व में कुत्तों की पूजा की है. यह पर्व नेपाल की सांस्कृतिक विरासत का हिस्सा है. 

Nepal has a wonderful festival called Kukur Tihar. In this festival dogs are worshipped. This festival is a part of Nepal's cultural heritage.

कुकुर तिहार नेपाल के फेमस तिहार महापर्व का हिस्सा है, हर साल दीपावली के आसपास मनाता है. यह पर्व पांच दिनों का है और  नेपाल के लोग कुत्तों को देवताओं के जैसा सम्मान करते हैं. चाहे पालतू हो जा आवारा, वे सारे कुत्तों की पूजा करते हैं. 

Kukur Tihar is a part of Nepal's famous festival festival, celebrated every year around Diwali. This festival is of five days and the people of Nepal respect dogs like gods. They worship all dogs, whether they are pets or strays.

कुकुर तिहार का धार्मिक महत्व हिंदू धर्म की मान्यताओं जुड़ा है. हिंदू मान्यताओं के अनुसार, कुत्तों को यमराज के दूर और भगवान भैरव के वाहन में देखा है. माना है कि कुत्ते मरने के बाद आत्मा को यमलोक पक पहुंचाते हैं. कुत्तों की पूजा कर यमराज को खुश की कोशिश की है और लंबी उम्र की कामना करते हैं. 

The religious importance of Kukur Tihar is linked to the beliefs of Hinduism. According to Hindu beliefs, dogs are seen in the vehicle of Yamraj and Lord Bhairav. It is believed that dogs take the soul to Yamlok after death. By worshipping dogs, people try to please Yamraj and wish for a long life.

कुत्तों को पहले स्नान कराता है, माथे पर लाल तिलक लगाते है. गले में फूलों की माला पहनाती है और भोजन जैसे चावल, मांस, रोटी और मिठाई परोसते है. ये पर्व ज्यादा इमोशनल और सुंदर होते है. 

First, dogs are given a bath, a red tilak is applied on their foreheads. A garland of flowers is put around their necks and food like rice, meat, roti and sweets are served. These festivals are more emotional and beautiful.

इस दिन पालतू कुत्तों की ही नहीं, बल्कि आवारा कुत्तों की भी पूजा होती है. सड़क पर रहने वाले कुत्तों का सम्मान किया जाता है, उन्हें भी स्नान कराते है, माला-तिलक के साथ भोजन कराते है. 

On this day, not only pet dogs are worshipped, but stray dogs are also worshipped. Street dogs are respected, they are also given a bath, garlands and Tilak and fed.
